Important Info

Discover the last remaining WWII USS LST 325. This is an amphibious vessel designed to land battle-ready tanks, troops and supplies directly onto enemy shores. Today this ship is permanently docked in Evansville, IN. Once a year it travels to destinations throughout the United States for people to board and tour. We are excited to have this ship in Dubuque, the first time ever the ship will be this far north. Tour times available August 24 and 27 between 9-11am. Cost is $10 per adult and $5 for kids 6-17. WWII Vets get in free

About This Tour

Day 1
Board the TWILIGHT at 7:45 am in Le Claire, Iowa. We will have coffee, sweet rolls,yogurt parfaits, fresh fruit and orange juice waiting for you. Depart Northbound for Dubuque, IA. at 8:15 am. Nothing prepares you for the experience of seeing the valley from the river side. This vast wilderness is hidden smack in the center of the densely populated center of our country. Who knew? This is the river Mark Twain knew, not the one from our school geography books. Arrival time in Dubuque is approximately 6:15pm

Day 2
After breakfast, board our complimentary shuttle that will take you to various Port of Dubuque attractions. Included in your fare are tickets to the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. The Twilight will be departing at 11:30 am, arriving back in Le Claire at approximately 6:15pm.

Tours are roughly 60 minutes long. Tours include the Main Deck, Troop Berthing, Tank Deck, Mess Deck, Galley, Stern of ship (Guns and Anchor), Wheel House, Officer's Country and the Captain's Cabin. It includes 3 sets of stairs down and 3 sets of stairs up. You are allowed to ask questions and take pictures at any point during the tour. We recommend walking shoes, heels of any type are not advised.
